About the event

Hosted inside the Wisconsin Historical Society Headquarters—home of the Hip-Hop Museum Exhibit—this community town hall brings together the voices shaping Madison’s hip-hop and urban music landscape today and tomorrow.

We invite artists, producers, DJs, educators, historians, community leaders, youth, and supporters of the culture to take part in an honest and forward-thinking conversation about:

  • How the legacy documented in The Lead Between the Rhymes informs the future

  • Growing sustainable opportunities for artists and creatives in Madison

  • Ownership, access, and economic pathways within hip-hop culture

  • Youth development, education, and community impact
